Leads the most complex, critical, or significant engineering projects. Monitors progress and performance against the project plan, evaluates findings, identifies and resolves operational problems and minimizes delays, prepares detailed reports with recommendations and conclusions. Estimates the costs, resources, and time required to implement the organization's annual new product development goals and monitors the performance of development projects to ensure targets are met. Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products. Actively participates on codes and standards committees and delegates codes and standards activities to the Engineering team. Ensure the Engineering team is executing to the agreed upon timelines and project deadlines. Guide project teams to successfully resolve challenges related to product performance, regulatory concerns, project timelines, and deliverables. Establish and maintain a cadence of communication with the Engineering team to ensure daily goals and KPIs are achieved. Guide electronic design and software development of existing and new control platforms. Guide the mechanical and electrical design of existing and new product platforms. Education & Experience: BS in Engineering discipline required from an accredited university, Electrical preferred Minimum 3-5 years management or supervisory experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical product design or new product development Experience in boiler and/or heat pump design, PCB and software development, or HVAC system design and implementation is preferred Requirements: Strong leadership skills Proficient technical skills Demonstrated sound decision-making skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong interpersonal and communication skills Support corporate philosophies and procedures

Completion of annual training and/or IEC Instructor Certification course/s. Develops a lesson plan for each course date to ensure all learning objectives are covered in each class. Possesses communication skills including a developed syllabus and the ability to speak to groups. Communicates effectively and helps students develop good study habits. Completes all administrative work on time such as grade submissions and attendance records. Prepares and conducts hands-on learning exercises that are related to the IEC National Curriculum. Enforces Electrical Safety Procedures, including Eye protection and proper lock out tag out procedures. Attends instructor meetings as required, monthly and annually. Essential Skills, Education and Experience: A.      Completion of the IEC Apprenticeship program and a Georgia Electrical Contractors License is preferred. Job Duties:

  • Manages and implements the required training of Engineers, Designers and support personnel for all technical skill requirements.

  • Directs personnel activities of department, such as recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, and salary adjustments.

  • Estimates the costs, resources, and time required to implement the organization's annual new product development goals and monitors the performance of development projects to ensure targets are met.
  • Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
  • Actively participates on codes and standards committees and delegates codes and standards activities to the Engineering team.
  • Ensure the Engineering team is executing to the agreed upon timelines and project deadlines.
  • Guide project teams to successfully resolve challenges related to product performance, regulatory concerns, project timelines, and deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain a cadence of communication with the Engineering team to ensure daily goals and KPIs are achieved.
  • Guide electronic design and software development of existing and new control platforms.
  • Guide the mechanical and electrical design of existing and new product platforms.

Education & Experience:

  • BS in Engineering discipline required from an accredited university, Electrical preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years management or supervisory experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical product design or new product development
  • Experience in boiler and/or heat pump design, PCB and software development, or HVAC system design and implementation is preferred
