Overview
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in industrial power systems to support complex capital projects in heavy industrial and energy infrastructure environments. In this role, you will design, analyze, and review low-, medium-, and high-voltage power distribution systems, prepare detailed engineering deliverables such as one-lines, schematics, load studies, grounding and lighting layouts, and equipment specifications, and perform or review critical power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and load flow analyses. You will also select and specify major electrical equipment, review vendor documentation, and provide technical support throughout procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup, while ensuring all designs meet applicable U.S. electrical codes and industry standards.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and brings 57 years of relevant experience, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or other heavy industrial settings. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, along with experience using power modeling software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower. You should be comfortable working onsite in Houston, TX, demonstrate strong communication and coordination skills in multidisciplinary teams, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to contribute to technically challenging and impactful projects within a collaborative team culture.
Compensation: $50.00/hr. We look forward to reviewing your application. We encourage everyone to apply - even if every box isnt checked for what you are looking for or what is required.
