The Role The Electrical Engineer will be working with the Controls and Mechanical Engineering teams on prototyping and perfecting solar construction automation equipment from scratch. Take part in equipment conceptual development and balance product specifications, requirements, complexity, cost, and lead-time. Design and implement electrical schematics per national standards (UL508A, NFPA79, NFPA70/NEC, etc.) Conceive, execute and control robust safety systems for manufacturing equipment as per national standards (ANSI, ISO, etc.) Select and size electrical components and power distribution panels Create manufacturing drawings and installation/user documentation Oversee electrical cabinet builds, inspection, and field wiring Build Terabase electrical specifications and standards as well as enforcement thereof Develop and manage suppliers for all development phases including specification, design, acceptance, and installation of electrical equipment and cabinets Define and maintain proper documentation for all electrical equipment and associated usage procedures. We are seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Project Manager & Electrical Estimator in Winston-Salem, NC. This full-time role combines preconstruction estimating expertise with hands-on project leadership, ensuring commercial construction projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate excels in electrical estimating, has proficiency with McCormick software, and can oversee multiple active construction sites while collaborating with subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed electrical estimates using McCormick software and analyze project drawings to determine scope and risks
  • Lead project execution in Winston-Salem, managing budgets, schedules, and field operations
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure high-quality work and timely delivery
  • Conduct site inspections to verify alignment between estimates, field activities, and project objectives
  • Manage change orders, cost tracking, and financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, clients, and leadership teams regarding project status
  • Implement best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and safety across all projects

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as an Electrical Estimator with proficiency in McCormick software
  • Strong background in commercial construction project management
  • Expertise interpreting construction documents, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
  • Financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication abilities
  • Strategic problem-solver with a focus on risk mitigation and operational efficiency
