Key Responsibilities Lead the Applications Engineering team for electrical products, including tracker motor controllers, power systems, SCADA integration, and grid communication hardware. Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal product/engineering teams, ensuring alignment of product features with customer and market requirements. Drive electrical product adoption by supporting pre-sales engineering, technical documentation, and on-site customer training. Collaborate with design engineering to optimize product designs for manufacturability, installation, and long-term reliability in utility-scale solar environments. Champion customer feedback loops to inform roadmap planning and continuous product improvement. Lead technical RFI/RFP responses, electrical system architecture support, and project-specific application design. Support new product introductions (NPIs) through pilot deployments, troubleshooting, and field performance evaluation. Guide internal and customer-facing teams on codes, standards, and interconnection practices relevant to tracker electrical systems (NEC, UL, IEEE, etc.). Drive continuous improvement in team structure, processes, and tools for global scalability and responsiveness. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 10+ years of experience in applications, systems, or field engineering with a strong focus on electrical products in the energy or solar sector. Deep knowledge of power electronics, electrical distribution, SCADA systems, communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3), and solar plant control strategies. Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional projects. Strong presentation, customer-facing, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with utility-scale solar plant development, EPC processes, and interconnection requirements. Preferred Experience Experience with PV tracker systems, inverters, batteries, and renewable plant SCADA integration. Direct experience with UL/IEC standards, NEC compliance, and global electrical certification requirements. Hands-on experience with site commissioning or field troubleshooting of electrical systems. You must competent performing EPS sizing and Energy Balance Analysis (EBA), voltage drop, bus stability, developing power budgets, and other common EPS analyses. You will understand common EPS components such as batteries, solar arrays (photovoltaics), and PMAD devices such as power distribution, power supplies, solar array regulation, and battery charge control electronics.   • Support new product introductions (NPIs) through pilot deployments, troubleshooting, and field performance evaluation.
  • Guide internal and customer-facing teams on codes, standards, and interconnection practices relevant to tracker electrical systems (NEC, UL, IEEE, etc.).
  • Drive continuous improvement in team structure, processes, and tools for global scalability and responsiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in applications, systems, or field engineering with a strong focus on electrical products in the energy or solar sector.
  • Deep knowledge of power electronics, electrical distribution, SCADA systems, communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3), and solar plant control strategies.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional projects.
  • Strong presentation, customer-facing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with utility-scale solar plant development, EPC processes, and interconnection requirements.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with PV tracker systems, inverters, batteries, and renewable plant SCADA integration.
  • Direct experience with UL/IEC standards, NEC compliance, and global electrical certification requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with site commissioning or field troubleshooting of electrical systems.
