How You Will Make an Impact: The Lead Electrical and Controls Engineer will help lead electrical and controls engineering projects, including the design, and build of the components, systems, and sub systems for advanced power systems. Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 Annually Key Responsibilities: Helps lead the planning and development of power electronics and control systems for specified products or processes. Collaborates with representatives from various functional groups assigned to the product or program including but not limited to design engineering, purchasing, production, manufacturing engineering, and inspection staff. Works with teams of engineers, and product specialists, to ensure design and performance specifications are achieved. Provides guidance and leadership to junior engineers. Helps create standards for design, manufacturing, and testing documentation. Leads investigations to identify the root cause of quality problems, and coordinates modifications or other corrective actions. Offers technical guidance and support in response to testing and analysis. Ensures design and performance specifications compliance by reviewing and testing the designed systems. Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job. Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings. Use the correct tools and use them Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor. Abide by all policies and procedures established by Moser Energy Systems. Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is required. A minimum of 3 years of related work experience is preferred. Strong background in three-phase AC electrical power and associated design calculations. Thorough understanding of switch-mode power converters, including hardware design, heat management and feedback control. Demonstrated experience in modeling and simulation of power systems and power electronics using MATLAB/Simulink. Experience interpreting, developing and documenting code for programmable logic controllers. Experience in creating electrical enclosures and control cabinets, including organized wiring arrangements, labeling, and design per NPFP 70 (National Electric Code). Demonstrated ability to interpret and create professional-grade drawings in AutoCAD Electrical. Experience soldering and the use of electrical measurement and test equipment. Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn the company’s power systems control system. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Senior Electrical Engineer — Power As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be tasked with conceptualizing, designing, testing, validating, and otherwise owning power converters and power systems. You will work with a range of multidisciplinary team members to engineer the best solution, trading size, weight, cost, power efficiency, thermal management, and other key requirements. You will be joining an established team of experienced power engineers working to create the next generation of power conversion on our next generation satellites. Day-to-day will include simulations, schematic, layout, and hands-on board bring-up, debugging, and optimizing. Every day is a new exciting challenge to build what hasn't been built, and a new exciting opportunity to put your skills to the test engineering the future of the space industry. Role: Technical ownership of design of kW-level power systems for our satellites Manage and control key components such as solar panel arrays, power regulation and distribution, and high-density batteries Integrate these systems into the spacecraft by working closely with the rest of the team Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing team. How You Will Make an Impact:

The Lead Electrical and Controls Engineer will help lead electrical and controls engineering projects, including the design, and build of the components, systems, and sub systems for advanced power systems.

Pay Range:

$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 Annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • Helps lead the planning and development of power electronics and control systems for specified products or processes.
  • Collaborates with representatives from various functional groups assigned to the product or program including but not limited to design engineering, purchasing, production, manufacturing engineering, and inspection staff.
  • Works with teams of engineers, and product specialists, to ensure design and performance specifications are achieved.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to junior engineers.
  • Helps create standards for design, manufacturing, and testing documentation.
  • Leads investigations to identify the root cause of quality problems, and coordinates modifications or other corrective actions.
  • Offers technical guidance and support in response to testing and analysis.
  • Ensures design and performance specifications compliance by reviewing and testing the designed systems.
  • Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job.
  • Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings.
  • Use the correct tools and use them
  • Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
  • Abide by all policies and procedures established by Moser Energy Systems.
  • Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
  • Strong background in three-phase AC electrical power and associated design calculations.
  • Thorough understanding of switch-mode power converters, including hardware design, heat management and feedback control.
  • Demonstrated experience in modeling and simulation of power systems and power electronics using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience interpreting, developing and documenting code for programmable logic controllers.
  • Experience in creating electrical enclosures and control cabinets, including organized wiring arrangements, labeling, and design per NPFP 70 (National Electric Code).
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and create professional-grade drawings in AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Experience soldering and the use of electrical measurement and test equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn the company’s power systems control system.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
