Role Summary The Estimating Manager 2 will review and execute bids on multiple and/or more complex projects with specific focus on Electrical scopes. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the estimating and bid process, from review of plans and specifications, to soliciting and negotiating prices from contractors and suppliers. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn. Autonomy & Decision Making: Makes decisions within defined limits of authority and consults supervisor on other decisions. Career Path: Senior Precon and Estimating Manager Key Role Responsibilities- Core ESTIMATING FAMILY- CORE Performs quantity survey of Mechanical/Electrical materials shown on project plans. Reads and outlines project specifications. Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate. Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination. Supports the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors. Works collaboratively and creates relationships with a variety of stakeholders, such as project team members, subcontractors, vendors and clients. Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support, as opportunities exist. Key Role Responsibilities- Additional Core ESTIMATING MANAGER 2 In addition, this position will be responsible for the following: Prepares complex mechanical/electrical cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals for multiple projects. Prepares material and other costs summary for quotes from vendors. Completes in the review of mechanical and electrical options as part of the preconstruction process and completes systems analysis for select projects. Develops electrical scopes of work used to coordinate during the bid process. Assists in the completion of bid analysis and provides input during the subcontractor selection process. Develops sequencing requirements of various systems and providing solutions to meet the schedule requirements. Tracks value creation items from development through inclusion and documents in project documentation. Develops and manages scopes of work for electrical and mechanical trades, including responsibility matrix, distribution of plans and specifications, and pricing, bid solicitation and coordination for vendors and subcontractors. Utilizes knowledge of the project schedule and logistics in project estimates. Collaborates with operations to provide constructability and coordination reviews of project documents. Provides professional and comprehensive deliverables at the completion of each major estimate. Leads the mechanical/electrical coordination process during the bidding and solicitation process. Creates constructability reviews and submits report to the project team. May participate in job pursuit presentations representing mechanical/electrical expertise. Applies knowledge of project schedule to preconstruction efforts. Applies knowledge of subcontractor market and how to prequalify subcontractors. Develop electrical and mechanical bidder lists specific to project requirements. Provides system analysis of building components and MEP systems and assists operations staff on project logistics, staging, phasing plans and coordination. Develops and maintains client and subcontractor relationships. Presents and sells estimates and proposals and participates in project procurement presentations. Coordinates feasibility studies on life-cycle costs of building systems. Leads efforts to assemble, analyze and store electrical cost history. Provides training and mentorship to others. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner. Communication skills, verbal and written (Intermediate). Ability to conduct effective presentations. Proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on strong Excel skills (Intermediate). Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications (Advanced). Proficiency in construction estimating including Accubid, Fast Duct, Fast Pipe software (Advanced). Proficiency in required construction technology. Knowledge of the means and methods of construction management (Intermediate). Knowledge of field operations through project support. Ability to prepare quantity surveys. Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work (Advanced). Knowledge of MBE (minority business enterprise), WBE (women's business enterprise), and SBA (small business administration) regulations (Intermediate). Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally. Education Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field (Preferred) In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Experience 5+ years estimating experience required. Preference for total of 8+ years construction experience. Mission Critical Market Experience (preferred). Senior Product Service & Sustaining Engineer- Electrical Status: Exempt (Salaried) Department: Global Service- Service Engineering (Dept. 331) Position Summary This Product Service and Sustaining Engineer role, with a specialty in Electrical Engineering topics, will drive design efforts to achieve high operational availability, reliability and low life-cycle maintenance cost of Plug Power Electrolyzer systems during product development and early customer deployments. As a key member of the service engineering team, you will build and maintain expert-level technical knowledge and service material related to product operation, performance, and maintenance to assure service technicians, support personnel, and customers are able to troubleshoot and service Plug's products. You will be responsible for key service deliverables (e.g., Service BOM/Spares List, Corrective and Preventive Maintenance Procedures, Tools & Equipment Definition, Fault Handling Procedures, etc.) during development and early deployments of new products. This role will also be responsible for the Sustaining Engineering Efforts for the fleet of Electrolyzer systems actively supporting Client operations globally. You will be expected to support both internal and external troubleshooting efforts during operations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in the event of equipment failure, and fleet performance in order to maintain Client satisfaction around Key Performance Indicators (KPI). These activities will require inter-departmental collaboration and third-party supplier relationship building to drive design improvement and maintain equipment up-time. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong engineering background with applied experience developing and servicing complex electro-mechanical systems, rectifier and transformer packages, medium voltage power systems, large-scale industrial gas plants, or similar types of systems. Core Duties and Responsibilities Lead development and validation of service engineering deliverables during new product development to assure the global services organization and 3rd party partners are prepared to support fielded systems. Develop and maintain expert-level technical product knowledge for new products necessary to start-up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain systems. Drive a 'Design-for-Service' mindset throughout the design lifecycle, assuring all maintenance activities can be completed safely and with minimal cost. Leverage field experience to provide the 'voice of service', defining reliability and service requirements and assisting with the development and validation of new products. Model the expected service costs associated with corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance and inspections of systems and iterate system design with engineering to assure system reliability and service cost objectives are achieved. Define maintenance procedures, spares plans, and tools & equipment required to support and service new products. Define commissioning procedures for new products in collaboration with product engineering and the commissioning team. Lead/assist with root cause analysis and problem resolution efforts using structured methodologies (e.g., Shainin, 8D, DMAIC, etc.) to mitigate customer risks. Travel to customer locations to perform technical functions including system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and repair as required; author incident and problem resolution reports; and collaborate with onsite technicians. Develop and provide technical training to internal staff members including on-site Service Technicians. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, CONSTRUCTION (STARLINK) As a member of the SpaceX Facilities Engineering team, you will work with a group of elite engineers across multiple disciplines to design, build, and activate infrastructure for a variety of projects at the Starlink Production Facility. This role is responsible for the design, build, and activation of infrastructure, facilities improvements and large capital projects. In addition to new infrastructure, this role will also be responsible for supporting facilities operations by overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of existing electrical distribution infrastructure with the goals of improving reliability and efficiency. Role Summary

The Estimating Manager 2 will review and execute bids on multiple and/or more complex projects with specific focus on Electrical scopes. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the estimating and bid process, from review of plans and specifications, to soliciting and negotiating prices from contractors and suppliers. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

ESTIMATING FAMILY- CORE

  • Performs quantity survey of Mechanical/Electrical materials shown on project plans.
  • Reads and outlines project specifications.
  • Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate.
  • Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination.
  • Supports the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors.
  • Works collaboratively and creates relationships with a variety of stakeholders, such as project team members, subcontractors, vendors and clients.
  • Gains field operational exposure through onsite project support, as opportunities exist.

ESTIMATING MANAGER 2

In addition, this position will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepares complex mechanical/electrical cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals for multiple projects.
  • Prepares material and other costs summary for quotes from vendors.
  • Completes in the review of mechanical and electrical options as part of the preconstruction process and completes systems analysis for select projects.
  • Develops electrical scopes of work used to coordinate during the bid process.
  • Assists in the completion of bid analysis and provides input during the subcontractor selection process.
  • Develops sequencing requirements of various systems and providing solutions to meet the schedule requirements.
  • Tracks value creation items from development through inclusion and documents in project documentation.
  • Develops and manages scopes of work for electrical and mechanical trades, including responsibility matrix, distribution of plans and specifications, and pricing, bid solicitation and coordination for vendors and subcontractors.
  • Utilizes knowledge of the project schedule and logistics in project estimates.
  • Collaborates with operations to provide constructability and coordination reviews of project documents.
  • Provides professional and comprehensive deliverables at the completion of each major estimate.
  • Leads the mechanical/electrical coordination process during the bidding and solicitation process.
  • Creates constructability reviews and submits report to the project team.
  • May participate in job pursuit presentations representing mechanical/electrical expertise.
  • Applies knowledge of project schedule to preconstruction efforts.
  • Applies knowledge of subcontractor market and how to prequalify subcontractors.
  • Develop electrical and mechanical bidder lists specific to project requirements.
  • Provides system analysis of building components and MEP systems and assists operations staff on project logistics, staging, phasing plans and coordination.
  • Develops and maintains client and subcontractor relationships.
  • Presents and sells estimates and proposals and participates in project procurement presentations.
  • Coordinates feasibility studies on life-cycle costs of building systems.
  • Leads efforts to assemble, analyze and store electrical cost history.
  • Provides training and mentorship to others.

  • Preference for total of 8+ years construction experience.
  • Mission Critical Market Experience (preferred).
