Familiarity with standard interfaces such as MIPI, DP, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, USB-PD etc. Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, FPGA devices and technologies. Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits. ABOUT THE JOB

Anduril is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer based in Mountain View, CA or Costa Mesa, CA to contribute and lead subsystems development for soldier wearable AR and VR devices. Looking for a self-starter with deep technical experience in defense industry developments to apply these skills to integrate displays, sensors, SOC, MCU, and power designs. This individual will be responsible for electrical design, test and integration, from concept to production, while ensuring alignment with strategic business goals. The engineer will also be involved in managing key vendor relationships, and ensuring performance and reliability in our cutting-edge technologies.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Full cycle PCB design including collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug and integration with the system.
  • Development of soldier worn AR and VR systems for the purposes of navigation, vision enhancement, communications, tactical, training
  • Ability to generate requirements and work cross functionally with Mechanical, Thermal, Validation engineers
  • Integrate AR, VR, XR SOC silicon and design the appropriate PCBs used in the product
  • Design flex PCBs to integrate the various subsystems in to the product
  • Validate and test electronics system components to ensure requirements are met
  • Root cause analysis in support of field operations
  • Factory and manufacturing support from a design, DfX, quality, debug, and failure analysis perspective

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs
  • Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
  • Familiarity with standard interfaces such as MIPI, DP, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, USB-PD etc.
  • Familiarity with common MCU, CPU, FPGA devices and technologies.
  • Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits.
  • Comfortable with a variety of electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred)
  • Experience in design for signal integrity / power integrity
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in designing electronics for consumers and miniaturization
  • Familiarity with aircraft avionics module vendors and avionics component suppliers from past experience in UAS programs

US Salary Range

$142,000-$213,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
