Description Summary: This position requires working with minimal supervision to perform mechanical assembly, electrical panel wiring, field wiring, pneumatic plumbing, machine electrical start-up, testing, and debug for machines and equipment for the systems automation group. Time Utilization: Normal business hours are 7:00am to 4:00pm. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate internal and external customer’s schedules as overtime may be required. This position may travel up to 5% of the time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: 1. Follows the directives from the supervisor to execute the manufacturing production schedule and to fulfill the order requirements of quality machines at the agreed upon due date. 2. Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and device layout drawings. 3. Assembly and point-to-point wiring of machinery control panels. 4. Wiring field control devices of custom engineered automated machinery. 5. Electrical systems testing and debugging. 6. Commissioning, installation, and troubleshooting of PLC based systems 7. Must be able to wire and test low voltage control devices, high voltage 3 phase, Motor Starters, VFD’s, Servo’s, PLC’s and HMI’s. 8. Schedule ownership for all assigned activities in related work centers, managing daily to ensure material are on schedule to meet the agreed upon schedule. 9. Order processing in SAP for releasing, printing, confirming, and inventory movements for all production orders and projects assigned. 10. Diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, and operates machines and equipment in all 3 major departments of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic. 11. Handles absorption tracking for yourself, meeting the efficiency your supervisor has set. 12. Handles a project from a BOM to shipping with little direction or assistance, meeting quality standards, budgets, in the agreed upon time 13. Adheres to established work schedules, order priorities and practices efficient time management to achieve these detailed schedule goals.14. Performs complex troubleshooting and diagnostics of equipment to determine the required project scope of work relating to machinery 15. Confirms the form/ fit and function of the project and performs “early” risk analysis to determine if the BOM/ components appear complete as needed. Provides immediate feedback to the supervisor if risks are detected. 16. Performs all manufacturing requirements associated with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, safety, programming components. Assembles and installs physical components into quality assemblies, many times without the benefit of written assembly instructions. Performs remanufacturing activities to return machines and components back to OEM specifications. 17. Recommends changes as needed to the configuration of production items. Performs modifications when approved by supervisor. Confirms items not on the provided BOM are attached to production orders for inventory relief. 18. Confirms all floor work is performed to correct standards of performance, alignment, seals, tensioning, attaching, marking, testing, safety, documentation and component integrity 19. Confirms machines are prepared for customer shipment by confirming all required components, i.e. gaskets, spares, manuals, tool boxes, film, etc. are present and accounted for. Documents outbound items by photographing prior to transfer. 20. Confirms documents verifying quality assurance, performance testing, settings, risk areas, exceptions are filled out, sent to the proper contacts and filed for future reference 21. Informs the supervisor in advance of needed in/ out movement of machines or product. 22. Provides up front detail information to supervisor associated with machines scheduled for shipment 23. Provides item identification of removed items needing storage or disposal. 24. Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment. 25. Implements the management directives associated with policies, goals and procedures. 26. Performs additional production activities as required by the supervisor Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience : Associate's degree in Electronics or related technical discipline and four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous troubleshooting skills, soldering experience, and test equipment. A high working skill knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and machine shop activities is required. Knowledgeable with established layout and wiring practices (e.g., NEC and UL508 control standards) a plus.Mechanical and engineering aptitude is needed. Must have the ability to respond and adjust to high stress environments and maintain professionalism in dealing with co-workers. Needs to be a self-starter and have the ability to work in unsupervised settings.Possesses the ability to work in a team and individual environment, motivation to achieve success, and ability to meet customer deadlines in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities. Knowledge and experience with embedded systems, including use of programming dongles and emulators. Experience in Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, and Beckhoff controls preferred. Math Ability: Speed and feed calculations, Metric and Standard calculations, basic and advanced measuring techniques, Ability to calculate dimensions, percentages, area and volume. Must be able to measure both English and Metric dimensions. Knowledge of resources available to complete these tasks. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to convert component drawings into real finished parts. The ability to make subjective decisions to positively impact production of required components. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, inventory software, manufacturing software, and ERP systems. CAD/CAM system experience is a plus. Manufacturing experience with SAP is a plus. Certificates and Licenses: Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position. Knowledge of inventory management preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities, but should be capable of taking a lead role in certain situations if required. Job Summary The Safety Supervisor - Electrical Business Unit assists in the overall supervision and administration of project safety, accountability, accident and fire protection programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This position will provide HSE support to multiple field project sites in service to regional electrical utility operators. Description

Summary: This position requires working with minimal supervision to perform mechanical assembly, electrical panel wiring, field wiring, pneumatic plumbing, machine electrical start-up, testing, and debug for machines and equipment for the systems automation group.

Time Utilization: Normal business hours are 7:00am to 4:00pm. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate internal and external customer’s schedules as overtime may be required. This position may travel up to 5% of the time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

1. Follows the directives from the supervisor to execute the manufacturing production schedule and to fulfill the order requirements of quality machines at the agreed upon due date.

2. Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and device layout drawings.

3. Assembly and point-to-point wiring of machinery control panels.

4. Wiring field control devices of custom engineered automated machinery.

5. Electrical systems testing and debugging.

6. Commissioning, installation, and troubleshooting of PLC based systems

7. Must be able to wire and test low voltage control devices, high voltage 3 phase, Motor Starters, VFD’s, Servo’s, PLC’s and HMI’s.

8. Schedule ownership for all assigned activities in related work centers, managing daily to ensure material are on schedule to meet the agreed upon schedule.

9. Order processing in SAP for releasing, printing, confirming, and inventory movements for all production orders and projects assigned.

10. Diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, and operates machines and equipment in all 3 major departments of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic.

11. Handles absorption tracking for yourself, meeting the efficiency your supervisor has set.

12. Handles a project from a BOM to shipping with little direction or assistance, meeting quality standards, budgets, in the agreed upon time

13. Adheres to established work schedules, order priorities and practices efficient time management to achieve these detailed schedule goals.14. Performs complex troubleshooting and diagnostics of equipment to determine the required project scope of work relating to machinery

15. Confirms the form/ fit and function of the project and performs “early” risk analysis to determine if the BOM/ components appear complete as needed. Provides immediate feedback to the supervisor if risks are detected.

16. Performs all manufacturing requirements associated with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, safety, programming components. Assembles and installs physical components into quality assemblies, many times without the benefit of written assembly instructions. Performs remanufacturing activities to return machines and components back to OEM specifications.

17. Recommends changes as needed to the configuration of production items. Performs modifications when approved by supervisor. Confirms items not on the provided BOM are attached to production orders for inventory relief.

18. Confirms all floor work is performed to correct standards of performance, alignment, seals, tensioning, attaching, marking, testing, safety, documentation and component integrity

19. Confirms machines are prepared for customer shipment by confirming all required components, i.e. gaskets, spares, manuals, tool boxes, film, etc. are present and accounted for. Documents outbound items by photographing prior to transfer.

20. Confirms documents verifying quality assurance, performance testing, settings, risk areas, exceptions are filled out, sent to the proper contacts and filed for future reference

21. Informs the supervisor in advance of needed in/ out movement of machines or product.

22. Provides up front detail information to supervisor associated with machines scheduled for shipment

23. Provides item identification of removed items needing storage or disposal.

24. Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment.

25. Implements the management directives associated with policies, goals and procedures.

26. Performs additional production activities as required by the supervisor

Education/Experience: Associate's degree in Electronics or related technical discipline and four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous troubleshooting skills, soldering experience, and test equipment. A high working skill knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and machine shop activities is required. Knowledgeable with established layout and wiring practices (e.g., NEC and UL508 control standards) a plus.Mechanical and engineering aptitude is needed. Must have the ability to respond and adjust to high stress environments and maintain professionalism in dealing with co-workers. Needs to be a self-starter and have the ability to work in unsupervised settings.Possesses the ability to work in a team and individual environment, motivation to achieve success, and ability to meet customer deadlines in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities. A history of successful customer service experience is a plus.

Language Ability: Ability to read, write and speak English. Ability to communicate in a team environment. Must be able to interpret and discuss general documents such as dimensional machine layouts, component drawings, written procedures and product information.

Electrical Ability: Knowledge of analog/digital circuit measurement and testing (constant current drivers, temperature control, wide bandwidth pulsed current drivers, microprocessors). Knowledge and experience with embedded systems, including use of programming dongles and emulators. Experience in Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, and Beckhoff controls preferred.

Math Ability: Speed and feed calculations, Metric and Standard calculations, basic and advanced measuring techniques, Ability to calculate dimensions, percentages, area and volume. Must be able to measure both English and Metric dimensions. Knowledge of resources available to complete these tasks.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to convert component drawings into real finished parts. The ability to make subjective decisions to positively impact production of required components.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, inventory software, manufacturing software, and ERP systems. CAD/CAM system experience is a plus. Manufacturing experience with SAP is a plus.

Certificates and Licenses: Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position. Knowledge of inventory management preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities, but should be capable of taking a lead role in certain situations if required.
