In this role you will support a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. You will work with a great group of people who really care about the job you do. As a Senior Electrical Technician, you will be part of a maintenance team that maintains the plant operations. Our Maintenance team members have the opportunity to learn and grow on the job. You'll use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. The candidate will need to verify work experience by having either: electrical union card, journeyman's card, or apprentice card. What You Will Do: Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations. Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components or electrical wiring and electrical components for production equipment Read blueprints Troubleshoot basic 3 Phase/equipment up to 600v Lay out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies equipment or finished product electronic components, pars, switch panels, electronic equipment, and systems. May test new equipment, troubleshoot operation, and make adjustments to equipment. Performs high voltage electrical repairs (e.g., controls, relays). Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment. Troubleshoots and repairs electronic, mechanical, or electrical computer-controlled equipment. May input or perform PLC. Follows all safety rules and practices. May be involved in safety committees or initiatives. Performs advanced repairs, troubleshoots electrical problems, performs preventative maintenance and testing on electrical wiring and components of production equipment and facilities infrastructure. Installs electrical panels, relays and switches. Reads and troubleshoots basic PLC programming. Perform other duties as assigned What You Will Need: Prompt, regular and predictable attendance The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required. Arcosa Lightweight is searching for a Senior Electrical Technician for our Mooresville, IN plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. You will work with a great group of people who really care about the job you do.

As a Senior Electrical Technician, you will be part of a maintenance team that maintains the plant operations. Our Maintenance team members have the opportunity to learn and grow on the job. You'll use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Arcosa Lightweight is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.

The candidate will need to verify work experience by having either: electrical union card, journeyman's card, or apprentice card.

What You Will Do:

  • Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components or electrical wiring and electrical components for production equipment
  • Read blueprints
  • Troubleshoot basic 3 Phase/equipment up to 600v
  • Lay out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies equipment or finished product electronic components, pars, switch panels, electronic equipment, and systems.
  • May test new equipment, troubleshoot operation, and make adjustments to equipment.
  • Performs high voltage electrical repairs (e.g., controls, relays). Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electronic, mechanical, or electrical computer-controlled equipment.
  • May input or perform PLC.
  • Follows all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
  • Performs advanced repairs, troubleshoots electrical problems, performs preventative maintenance and testing on electrical wiring and components of production equipment and facilities infrastructure.
  • Installs electrical panels, relays and switches.
  • Reads and troubleshoots basic PLC programming.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You Will Need:

  • Prompt, regular and predictable attendance
  • The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
  • The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
  • On the job training
  • Operating front end loader, bobcat, and dump truck
  • Understands principles of electricity/electrical control and understands general electrical schematics
  • Fully capable of trouble shooting and testing all electrical applications
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of related electrical experience
  • The ability to read blueprints

Working Conditions:

  • Work environment includes plant, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays.
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
