Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in analog and mixed signal designs to join our Emerging Technology team. This individual will be a key contributor in the electrical design, integration, test, and qualification of custom circuits and control system subsystems for operation of deployed quantum systems and sensors in space, terrestrial, and lab-based environments. Initially, this role will be in support of a technology demonstration mission in collaboration with NASA JPL/Goddard that will demonstrate a first-of-its-kind quantum gravity gradient (QGG) sensor on a dedicated satellite. The successful candidate will collaborate with an extended team of electrical engineers, physicists, mechanical engineers, embedded systems engineers, systems engineers, and sub vendors to develop high performance, low noise, radiation tolerant and robust circuits critical to the operation of this exciting new quantum sensing capability demonstrator. Designs, develops, and evaluates all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery. May use computer-aided engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field of expertise. Essential Duties: Develop machine/control solutions to improve manufacturing performance Champion introduction of artificial intelligence to the production process Manage equipment install, start-up, and qualification Estimate and track budgets and schedules Document P&IDs, schematics, layouts, drawings, specifications, etc. Modify existing equipment to meet the needs of production Program and configure PLC, HMI, controls, sensors, drives On call responsibility (50%). Ability to work non-standard days on occasion Skills & Qualifications Required: Experience working with PLC's, controls, sensors Experience with a variety of AC and DC drives a plus Track record of accomplishment within an industrial / manufacturing environment High level of proficiency with MS Office (Excel in particular) Strong communications skills - oral, written and presentation. Able to work on a team or individual basis Time management skills/organizational and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Education & Experience Required: B.S. in Electrical Engineering (required) Minimum of 6 years' experience.
