Responsibilities Design and implement DC power systems, including battery management systems, monitoring, and protection. Integrate and fuse sensor data, including IMUs, encoders, hall sensors, and temperature sensors (PCB-level design). Develop and test power/sensor electronics systems in collaboration with hardware and firmware teams. Ensure system reliability through testing, validation, and debugging of hardware systems in the lab. Document design processes and contribute to hardware best practices. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics. Hands-on experience with DC power systems, battery management, and power electronics. Performs work on “hot lines” as required. Replaces coils, resistors, rheostats, relays, etc. Adjusts contractors, relays, bus rigging, etc. Reconnects terminal leads, panel boards and distribution feeders. In emergencies, shunts out defective coils in order to get equipment back in operation. Changes DC motor characteristics by shunting series coils, etc. Installs conduit, fittings, switches, controls and fixtures and wires and connects all types of electrical equipment as required for new installation or replacement of facilities. Make all required splices and connector joints. Adjusts all new equipment for proper operating characteristics. Able to perform repairs, adjustments, etc. to state-of-the-art electrical components, i.e. (inverter drives, SCR units, programmable controllers, etc.).   • Develop and test power/sensor electronics systems in collaboration with hardware and firmware teams.
  • Ensure system reliability through testing, validation, and debugging of hardware systems in the lab.
  • Document design processes and contribute to hardware best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics.
  • Hands-on experience with DC power systems, battery management, and power electronics.
  • Strong understanding of sensor integration, including IMUs, encoders, and hall sensors.
  • Familiarity with low-level communication protocols such as RS-485, CAN, and SPI.
  • Experience with hardware design, PCB layout, and debugging.
  • Proficiency in power electronics design, including motor drivers and circuit design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle system-level challenges.

$100,000 - $300,000 USD
