Job Summary: Inertial Measurement Units are a fundamental part of modern consumer, automotive, and industrial electronics. ANELLO is developing next generation INS and IMU sensor technology based on silicon photonics. The Sr. EE / HW Engineer will own critical aspects of the electrical architecture and implementation, ranging from schematic board design and layout to bring-up, debug, and validation. In this role you will help shape future ANELLO products with a strong sense of ownership and a product-first mentality. You will help identify opportunities and drive new ideas into action, through both hands-on technical work and thoughtful cross-functional collaboration. Job Summary:

Inertial Measurement Units are a fundamental part of modern consumer, automotive, and industrial electronics. ANELLO is developing next generation INS and IMU sensor technology based on silicon photonics. The Sr. EE / HW Engineer will own critical aspects of the electrical architecture and implementation, ranging from schematic board design and layout to bring-up, debug, and validation. 

In this role you will help shape future ANELLO products with a strong sense of ownership and a product-first mentality. You will help identify opportunities and drive new ideas into action, through both hands-on technical work and thoughtful cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of electrical product design from concept to delivery to manufacturing, proactively anticipating and addressing potential roadblocks
  • Create interface boards and systems for manufacturing
  • Manage electrical engineering CAD tools and libraries
  • Work with hardware team to select components and write hardware design specifications for board level assemblies
  • Design schematics and board layouts of medium to high complexity mixed signal PCBA
  • Work closely with Sr ME to ensure board fitment, clearances, and thermal issues are considered during board layout
  • Export accurate manufacturing info to key vendors to ensure board fabrication quality
  • Export accurate BOM information to purchasing team
  • Inspect first articles for IPC610 workmanship
  • Assist with board bring up, debug and standard EE lab work

Requirements:

  • BSEE or MSEE degree with emphasis on Analog, Mixed Signal, and DSP Design
  • 7+ years’ experience with schematic design, ideally w/Altium for schematic capture and board layout
  • Experience in system designs from concept to mass production
  • Experience with sensor integration including MEMS and GNSS RF design
  • Front-end power supply protection for products
  • Communication buses including RS-232, RS-422, CAN, Ethernet, SPI
  • Track record of delivering working product at product-oriented companies
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Passion for continuous learning and exploring new technologies is highly valued.
