The Electrical Panel Builder is responsible for the physical assembly, wiring, and integration of industrial control panels and high-frequency power supply enclosures. This role transforms engineered schematics into high-quality, functional hardware by mounting components, routing wireways, and ensuring all terminations meet strict industrial standards and customer specifications. Job Duties Accurately interpret electrical schematics, point-to-point wiring diagrams, and Bills of Material (BOM) to plan component layout. Measure, drill, tap, and mount components such as PLCs, VFDs, contactors, relays, and power supplies onto sub-panels and within enclosures. Perform professional point-to-point wiring, including stripping, crimping, and ferruling, ensuring all connections are torqued to spec and labeled per the drawing. Assemble and route pneumatic and hydraulic manifolds and hosing systems as integrated into the electrical cabinets. Perform minor secondary machining, such as punching conduit holes or fabricating custom mounting brackets, to ensure equipment functionality. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in Electrical Technology is a plus. Proven experience in industrial control panel building or electrical sub-assembly. Advanced ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and ladder logic diagrams. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power drills, knockout punches, and precision measuring instruments like calipers and multimeters. Mechanical aptitude with experience in fitting, aligning, and adjusting parts and assemblies.
