Key Responsibilities: Manages mid-size projects and analyzes data to generate key findings and recommendations. Design and develop analog and digital circuits for fire alarm products. Develop and integrate embedded systems to support product functionality. Perform circuit analysis and validation using simulation tools like PSpice. Design, build, and debug programmable logic circuits. Utilize electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) to verify designs. Support product certification and listing efforts, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Provide sustaining engineering support to improve and maintain existing products. Plans, prioritizes, and manages mid-size engineering projects; prioritizes tasks to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. Synthesizes analyses of data, uses the results to prepare technical reports of findings and recommendations, and communicates key findings to more senior engineers. Conducts engineering processes using standard work, including verification and qualification procedures. Performs general engineering activities that may not be attributed to a defined discipline. Basic Qualifications: BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years professional experience. MS degree in Electrical Engineering with 1+ years professional experience. Preferred Qualifications: Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design. Experience with embedded system design and development. Proficiency in circuit simulation tools such as PSpice. Hands-on experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting programmable logic circuits. Familiarity with standard electrical test equipment for debugging and validation. Knowledge of firmware development for embedded processors (while not a primary responsibility, this understanding is beneficial). Experience with networking or wireless technologies. Understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles. Hands-on experience in printed circuit board (PCB) design. Prior experience in fire safety or other regulated industries. About This Role: Kidde Global Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an innovative and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing electrical and electronic circuits to meet specified performance criteria, following established processes and methodologies. The ideal candidate will create and maintain detailed design documentation, support listing efforts, and address sustaining engineering challenges. This position requires close collaboration with firmware, mechanical, and cross-functional engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: Manages mid-size projects and analyzes data to generate key findings and recommendations. Design and develop analog and digital circuits for fire alarm products. Develop and integrate embedded systems to support product functionality. Perform circuit analysis and validation using simulation tools like PSpice. Design, build, and debug programmable logic circuits. Utilize electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) to verify designs. Support product certification and listing efforts, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Provide sustaining engineering support to improve and maintain existing products. Plans, prioritizes, and manages mid-size engineering projects; prioritizes tasks to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. Synthesizes analyses of data, uses the results to prepare technical reports of findings and recommendations, and communicates key findings to more senior engineers. Conducts engineering processes using standard work, including verification and qualification procedures. Performs general engineering activities that may not be attributed to a defined discipline. Basic Qualifications: BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years professional experience. MS degree in Electrical Engineering with 1+ years professional experience. Preferred Qualifications: Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design. Experience with embedded system design and development. Proficiency in circuit simulation tools such as PSpice. Hands-on experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting programmable logic circuits. Familiarity with standard electrical test equipment for debugging and validation. Knowledge of firmware development for embedded processors (while not a primary responsibility, this understanding is beneficial). Experience with networking or wireless technologies. Understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles. Hands-on experience in printed circuit board (PCB) design. Prior experience in fire safety or other regulated industries.
