The Project Electrical Engineer will support the project management team and sales/development team for our California clients. This includes collaboration with internal team members and external clients to drive efficiency and effective engineering practices. Electrical Engineers are accountable for reviewing permit plans and assisting with project estimating and energy calculations as need to meet program goals while providing outstanding customer service and support to K-12, municipality, and other clients. Target Salary: $105,000 - $125,000+ depending on experience Project Electrical Engineering Responsibilities: • Development of renewable power projects including but not limited to PV, BESS, Microgrids, EV charging stations. • Prepare preliminary site plans and single line diagrams for pricing to subcontractors or others. • Review plans generated by others in coordination with project management and design team prior to permit submission. • Support Project Management and design team throughout the permitting and Interconnection process commencing at Permission to Operate. • Provide training to internal team members on engineering standards and new technologies as necessary. • Completion of contracts, scopes of work, and site-specific details for each engineered solution. • Complete site audits and preliminary feasibility studies at various client locations throughout the State of California. • Work directly with utility companies and internal staff to assist with Interconnection applications. • Develop, revise, and maintain engineering standards for SitelogIQ and its engineering. • Perform Savings analysis and Generation calculations utilizing industry standard software. •Coordinate several contracts of varying sizes while maintaining customer expectations and working effectively and efficiently. • Coordinates electrical engineering and construction activities with government regulatory agencies as needed. • Potential participation in association and industry events to learn, develop, and educate team members. • Coordinate with internal operations team and external partners to provide consistent customer service and to provide feedback supporting continuous improvement of the program. • Establish a complete understanding of task deliverables and expectations as set by your supervisor, with an intermediary review of deliverables as necessary. • Any other job duties as assigned. Working Conditions: • This position may require some travel to the project sites • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, comfortably lift 40+ pounds, and must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time Project Electrical Engineer Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field strongly preferred. • 3+ years experience with generating design plans and installing those plans within renewable generation industry that could including solar, BESS, microgrids or EV chargers. • PE license required, or working toward PE license. • Knowledge of building operations and/or energy consuming equipment. • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment with changing and/or competing priorities. • Experience working in related field with commercial, municipalities or education clientele. • Valid California driver's license with clean driving record. This role will procure, estimate, manage and control a client’s electrical project from conception through completion. This position requires nurturing existing owner direct relationships. It will also include managing traditional design build or design assist projects Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Account Management - Lead the efforts to maintain long term owner direct relationships with assigned key accounts. Estimating – Both site surveys and plan review. Purchasing – Issues purchase orders for equipment, materials and subcontractors in a timely manner that does not jeopardize the project schedule Scheduling – Develops a plan for what is to be done, what resources are required and when; coordinates with field superintendents / the client / general contractors / subcontractors in order to meet timetables for completion of work. Ensures subcontractors have been scheduled to complete their activities as required by the scope of work. Managing manpower – Works with trade superintendents to ensure that the correct number of workers and the level of expertise required for each project is provided. Keeps man power projection sheet updated to allow field superintendents to plan their resources. Managing quality –Ensures that labor and materials meet the specifications of the client; this would include site visits, reviewing drawings and specifications as well as maintaining effective communications with the client. Managing margins – Completes monthly billings, monthly job cost reports, and monthly manpower requirements to ensure that profit margins are maintained according to estimates. Project closeout – Prepares final as built-drawings, develops operation and maintenance manuals, establishes warranty dates, completes punchlist items and collects final billings. Knowledge and skills: Prefer unlimited electrical license. Be able to read and understand multiple trades drawings for coordination process. Minimum of 10 years electrical experience with industrial/commercial business. Working experience in the electrical industry/field helpful Computer literate: Excel, Word, Bluebeam Human relations skills: Strong communication skills both verbal and written Position deals with the following people: Customer – Account management visits, project progress and coordination General contractors and other subcontractors Equipment and materials vendors Experience with AutoCad and Viewpoint would be beneficial. Proven experience in quality management within the construction industry, preferably in large-scale projects. In-depth knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, regulations, and best practices. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing quality management systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions. Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in using quality management software and tools. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Superintendent, Certified Quality Engineer) are highly desirable. Ability to travel to various job sites as needed. Ability to lift up to fifty pounds, unassisted, as required. Ability to work from various heights via ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and other safe work platforms and area when necessary. Able to work a 40-hour work week, with overtime and off-hour shifts as required. Able to work in extreme weather conditions and elements, indoor or outdoor, including heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, and snow depending on the job location. Our Project Electric Engineer will work out of our West Business Unit, located in Sacramento, CA. The Project Electrical Engineer will support the project management team and sales/development team for our California clients. This includes collaboration with internal team members and external clients to drive efficiency and effective engineering practices. Electrical Engineers are accountable for reviewing permit plans and assisting with project estimating and energy calculations as need to meet program goals while providing outstanding customer service and support to K-12, municipality, and other clients.

Target Salary: $105,000 - $125,000+ depending on experience

Project Electrical Engineering Responsibilities:

• Development of renewable power projects including but not limited to PV, BESS, Microgrids, EV charging stations.
• Prepare preliminary site plans and single line diagrams for pricing to subcontractors or others.
• Review plans generated by others in coordination with project management and design team prior to permit submission.
• Support Project Management and design team throughout the permitting and Interconnection process commencing at Permission to Operate.
• Provide training to internal team members on engineering standards and new technologies as necessary.
• Completion of contracts, scopes of work, and site-specific details for each engineered solution.
• Complete site audits and preliminary feasibility studies at various client locations throughout the State of California.
• Work directly with utility companies and internal staff to assist with Interconnection applications.
• Develop, revise, and maintain engineering standards for SitelogIQ and its engineering.
• Perform Savings analysis and Generation calculations utilizing industry standard software.
•Coordinate several contracts of varying sizes while maintaining customer expectations and working effectively and efficiently.
• Coordinates electrical engineering and construction activities with government regulatory agencies as needed.
• Potential participation in association and industry events to learn, develop, and educate team members.
• Coordinate with internal operations team and external partners to provide consistent customer service and to provide feedback supporting continuous improvement of the program.
• Establish a complete understanding of task deliverables and expectations as set by your supervisor, with an intermediary review of deliverables as necessary.
• Any other job duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

• This position may require some travel to the project sites
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, comfortably lift 40+ pounds, and must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time

Project Electrical Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field strongly preferred.
• 3+ years experience with generating design plans and installing those plans within renewable generation industry that could including solar, BESS, microgrids or EV chargers.
• PE license required, or working toward PE license.
• Knowledge of building operations and/or energy consuming equipment.
• Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment with changing and/or competing priorities.
• Experience working in related field with commercial, municipalities or education clientele.

• Valid California driver's license with clean driving record.
