Demonstrated knowledge of electrical engineering, preventative maintenance, project management, reliability practices, and financial management as it relates to capital/expense spending, MRO, CMMS, etc. Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline in work experience. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)Proven ability to lead a team to success. In addition, the candidate should be confident in performing electrical/power distribution system maintenance for AC and DC systems up to 480V. Summary of essential job functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Review and update/redline system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics. Review and analyze operational data to diagnose and resolve performance issues. Maintain critical environmental and process control systems. Perform Industrial Maintenance activities as required, both as planned & scheduled work and as emergency/urgent production line support, troubleshooting, and repair. May occasionally be asked to perform on call responsibilities. Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Technical Degree in Industrial Electrical, Controls, or Automation-based fields is strongly preferred. 4 to 5 years of related experience and/or training is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Candidates with less experience may be considered for a lesser role with the intent of advancing to this role after specific training and experience requirements are met. Experience and proficiency working with Electrical Distribution systems and wiring up to 480V required. Experience maintaining industrial automation processes utilizing Siemens 505 or S7 PLCs, Siemens AC Vector Drives, and/or Wonderware is preferred. Knowledge of database and word processing software, as well as experience navigating in internet browsers and other similar systems. Drafting experience in Computer Automated Design software such as AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor a plus; however, not required. Experience working in SAP or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) preferred. Certified or able to become certified to operate multiple kinds of powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts and man/personnel lifts. This position focuses on development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Nexamp's electrical safety programs. The role is essential in conducting site audits, performing risk assessments, implementing electrical safety training for internal team members and external contractors, and ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards, regulations, and best practices. The Electrical Safety Manager will play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment and preventing electrical hazards across all Nexamp sites from project development through lifecycle operations. The ESO is an offline Electrical & Instrumentation Technician Role responsible for leading the site power systems, from the electrical feed substation to the site, through all internal distribution down to the equipment main disconnecting devices. This role leads installation, upgrade, and annual maintenance of power systems hardware and software, and annual training and certification of site E&I resources for Low and Medium Voltage certification. This person will develop a detailed understanding of the site Power Systems and major electrical loads across the site. They will lead sustainability efforts to reduce electrical costs and deliver sustainability goals for the site. They will be a technology SME (subject matter expert) and qualifier for electrical power and safety, and likely at least one other common electrical technology. Both Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Qualification is a requirement. Extensive knowledge of industrial electrical standards and codes, such as NFPA70, NFPA70E, NFPA79, and UL508a is also required. Building capability in other Operators and E&I techs is expected in this role, and training support for GBET and GCET is required. Power Systems responsibilities: Responsible for electrical power systems at the site from the utility service point down to 50 volts.
