Senior Counsel, Product We are looking for a Senior Counsel to join our legal team. The role will focus on product counseling and legal guidance around artificial intelligence, regulatory compliance, data protection, intellectual property and other emerging topics. What You'll Do: Partner closely with product and engineering teams to provide end-to-end legal guidance on product and feature development, leading specific product areas Monitor emerging technology regulations and industry trends affecting edge computing, critical infrastructure, AI, and telecommunications and provide strategic guidance on relevant regulatory compliance and responsible data practices Develop and enhance legal team positions on global privacy, data protection, artificial intelligence, and other legal frameworks (e.g., GDPR, NIS2, DORA, EU Data Act, EU AI Act) Collaborate with and support commercial transactions including customer negotiations and vendor contracts as a subject matter expert on product, regulatory, and IP considerations Draft and maintain policies, playbooks, checklists, FAQs, and training materials to improve process and streamline stakeholder engagement Support IP matters, including open-source and IP portfolio management. Senior Counsel, Product

We are looking for a Senior Counsel to join our legal team. The role will focus on product counseling and legal guidance around artificial intelligence, regulatory compliance, data protection, intellectual property and other emerging topics. This is a great opportunity for a thoughtful, pragmatic, and collaborative attorney with strong product and business instincts who wants to help shape innovative edge cloud technologies. This position reports to the Assistant General Counsel leading the product, regulatory, and IP team, and will be based out of one of our offices with a preference for San Francisco, CA.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner closely with product and engineering teams to provide end-to-end legal guidance on product and feature development, leading specific product areas
  • Monitor emerging technology regulations and industry trends affecting edge computing, critical infrastructure, AI, and telecommunications and provide strategic guidance on relevant regulatory compliance and responsible data practices
  • Develop and enhance legal team positions on global privacy, data protection, artificial intelligence, and other legal frameworks (e.g., GDPR, NIS2, DORA, EU Data Act, EU AI Act)
  • Collaborate with and support commercial transactions including customer negotiations and vendor contracts as a subject matter expert on product, regulatory, and IP considerations
  • Draft and maintain policies, playbooks, checklists, FAQs, and training materials to improve process and streamline stakeholder engagement
  • Support IP matters, including open-source and IP portfolio management.
  • Support security and customer incident management, law enforcement requests, and platform-abuse process and policy

What We're Looking For:

  • JD from a respected institution and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
  • 8+ years of legal experience, with in-house experience advising on product and regulatory matters
  • Experience advising product managers, developers, and engineers and supporting agile product development teams by providing clear, actionable legal guidance in real time
  • Knowledge of U.S. and global regulatory frameworks and their practical application in a fast-paced technology company
  • Technology industry experience and familiarity with technical concepts such as APIs, encryption, LLMs, and cloud architecture
  • A pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to simplify complex legal issues for a business audience
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to own matters and prioritize, manage, and complete projects independently in a dynamic, evolving environment
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working across disciplines and values building relationships and improving process
